The Limitations of Patient-Reported Outcome Measurement in Oncology

'Journal of Clinical Pathways' has published an article in which Professor Stephen McKenna discusses the limitations of PRO measurement in Oncology. 

PRO measurement in oncology falls behind other clinical specialties. The development of high-quality, disease-specific PROMs that assess the true concerns of patients and evaluate the impact of both clinical and non-clinical interventions on a variety of outcomes is needed. Only then can we demonstrate the true impact of oncological and other interventions on the lives of patients.
